A holistic system refined over thousands of years — restoring the flow and balance your body needs to activate its own healing.
Answer six quick questions and we'll suggest a starting point — about one minute.
Treatments we offer
Sterile, single-use needles and registered practitioners — used for pain relief, stress reduction and a broad range of health concerns:
- Acupuncture
- Tuina massage
- Cupping & wet cupping
- Chronic pain management
- Stress & sleep support

What a session involves
Your practitioner starts by talking through what brought you in and how it affects your sleep, energy, digestion and stress — Traditional Chinese Medicine reads the body as a connected system, so the questions range wider than the spot that hurts. From there they place very fine, sterile, single-use needles at selected points, and you rest while they sit.
Most people are surprised by how little they feel. Insertion is usually a brief, dull sensation rather than a sharp one, and many people find the session itself deeply restful. Tuina massage and cupping are sometimes used alongside acupuncture, depending on what your practitioner judges appropriate for your case.
What people come in for
- Persistent pain — low back, neck, headaches, arthritic joints
- Musculoskeletal problems alongside physiotherapy, including sciatica and frozen shoulder
- Stress, tension and sleep difficulty
- Whole-body complaints that are hard to pin to one structure, such as fibromyalgia
Acupuncture also works well as part of a wider plan here — having physiotherapy, massage and TCM under one roof means your care can lean on whichever your body responds to best.
Common questions
Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are far finer than the needles used for injections, and most people feel little more than a brief dull ache or a heaviness around the point. If anything is genuinely uncomfortable, tell your practitioner and the needle is adjusted or removed.
Is it safe?
Our practitioners are registered, and every needle is sterile and single-use, disposed of after your session. Your practitioner will ask about your health history, medications and whether you are pregnant or on blood thinners, because those change how and where they treat.
How many sessions will I need?
That depends on what you came in with and how you respond, so we will not quote you a number up front. Your practitioner will talk through what they are seeing after your first session and reassess as you go.
Is acupuncture covered by insurance?
Many extended health plans include acupuncture, often as its own annual limit or inside a broader paramedical allowance, and we direct bill most major insurers. ICBC's Enhanced Care coverage also pre-approves acupuncture sessions in the first 12 weeks after a crash. More on coverage for acupuncture.
Direct billing: we submit the claim for you, but your insurer decides what it pays. We can bill your plan, though we cannot look up your coverage, limits or deductibles — and anything your insurer does not cover is payable at your visit. How direct billing works →
