Your first visit

Walk in ready. Walk out with a plan.

A little preparation makes your first appointment count. Here's what to bring, how to get ready, and exactly what will happen when you arrive.

Before you arrive

Arrive 10 minutes early with these ready.

Bring The essentials

Care card & photo ID

So we can set up your file correctly the first time.

Benefits plan details

Your insurer and plan number, if you'd like us to direct bill your extended health plan.

Claim number & date of accident

For ICBC or WorkSafeBC patients — this is all we need to bill them directly.

Comfortable clothing

Something you can move in that gives access to the area we're treating — shorts for knees, a tank for shoulders.

Your questions and concerns

What worries you most? What do you want back — sleep, sport, lifting your kids? Tell us.

Symptom history

When it started, what makes it better or worse, and anything the therapist should know about how it behaves.

Medications & medical history

Current medications, past surgeries or conditions — they can all shape the safest treatment plan.

Imaging or referral letters

X-ray or MRI reports and any referral notes, if you have them — helpful, but not required.

The appointment

What your first visit includes.

A thorough assessment

Your therapist examines how you move, tests strength and range, and finds the cause — not just the sore spot.

A real conversation

Your symptoms, your goals, and what recovery needs to look like for your life and work.

A personalized plan

Clear next steps: how often to come, what we'll do each visit, and what "better" will look like.

Treatment starts same day

Hands-on care begins at the first visit, plus simple home guidance you can start that evening.
