Conditions we treat
Vertigo & Dizziness Treatment in Surrey, BC
If the room spins when you roll over in bed or tip your head back, physiotherapy may help far more than you'd expect.
What it feels like
- A spinning sensation triggered by head movements
- Brief, intense episodes — often getting in or out of bed
- Unsteadiness or a feeling of being off-balance
- Sometimes nausea with the episodes
Why it happens
A very common cause is BPPV, where tiny crystals in the inner ear move out of place and confuse your balance system. Dizziness can also follow a concussion or relate to the neck — so identifying the source matters.
How we can help
We begin with a focused assessment to work out what's driving your dizziness — many cases come from a treatable inner-ear cause. Your practitioner tailors care to what we find, and if your symptoms point to something that needs a doctor's input, we'll tell you and help you get there. Many people are surprised by how much can improve, and how quickly.
Common questions
Can vertigo be sorted out in a single visit?
Some positional vertigo responds quickly to specific repositioning techniques, but we will not promise a number of visits — the cause and your response both vary. The assessment determines whether your presentation is the kind that suits that approach.
When is dizziness a medical emergency?
Dizziness alongside a sudden severe headache, double vision, slurred speech, or new weakness or numbness needs urgent medical attention rather than clinic care. Your first assessment screens for those signs before anything else.
