Conditions we treat
Hip Pain Treatment in Surrey, BC
Nagging pain on the outside of the hip, deep in the groin, or an ache that keeps you up at night — hip pain has several causes, and pinning down the right one guides everything.
What it feels like
- Pain on the outside of the hip, often worse lying on that side
- Groin pain or stiffness, especially getting up after sitting
- Discomfort with walking, stairs or standing on one leg
- An ache that disturbs your sleep
Why it happens
Hip pain on the outside is often gluteal tendinopathy or bursitis; pain deep in the groin more often comes from the joint itself, including osteoarthritis; and sometimes what feels like hip pain is actually referred from the lower back. Where it hurts is only part of the story.
How we can help
We assess the hip, the muscles that control it, and the areas that refer into it, so we're treating the actual driver rather than guessing. Your practitioner then builds a care plan around your specific case and goals, decided case by case. Most hip pain responds well to conservative care — and we'll be honest if yours needs imaging or a specialist opinion.
