Conditions we treat
Concussion Recovery in Surrey, BC
Concussion recovery isn't weeks in a dark room anymore — guided, gradual return to activity is now the standard, and physiotherapy plays a real role.
What it feels like
- Headaches, dizziness or brain fog
- Sensitivity to light or noise
- Neck pain and trouble concentrating
- Fatigue, and symptoms that flare with too much activity
Why it happens
A concussion is a brain injury from a blow or jolt — sport, a fall, or a car accident. The neck and the balance (vestibular) systems are so often involved that they're now considered part of concussion care, not separate to it.
How we can help
Concussion care today is active and guided. After assessing your symptoms — including the neck and balance systems — your practitioner builds a gradual, personalized return-to-activity plan and adjusts it as you recover. We watch for red flags and coordinate with your doctor when needed. For accident-related concussions, treatment is covered and billed to ICBC.
